About Us
It all started with this man.
Wayne Morrell and his wife Emma Jean founded Morrell’s in 1964. They got their start in the salvage business and throughout the years, have sold about any product you can think of for your home. Wayne Morrell is now retired from the family business, but at 96 years old, is anything but retired from hard work.
Mr. Morrell now spends his time working in his garden, renovating houses, and much more. He also enjoys hobbies like fishing in the gulf, photography, and metal detecting. Mr. and Mrs. Morrell have always been a great example in business and in life.
Three generations later.
Morrell’s is still all in the family. It is owned and run by Wayne Morrell’s son-in-law and Morrell’s President, Paul Mabile. Wayne’s grandson Hunter Mabile also works in the family business as the General Manager.
The goal of Morrell family is to provide the best quality, price, customer service possible and to continue to implement the timeless principles handed down for generations.
What we do today.
Morrell’s primary focus now is furniture and mattresses. Morrell’s partners with their manufacturers to provide the best quality product and customer service experience possible.
Morrell’s now has two locations in total. The original location is our main location and hub, on Deputy J. Davis Lane in Lake City. This location has a 19,000 sq ft furniture showroom, a 4000 sq ft mattress gallery, outdoor and patio department, and a huge clearance center.
The Mattress Experts by Morrell’s is where you go to find the perfect mattress, and/or any accessories you need to go with your mattress. The Mattress Experts location is in Lake City on Bascom Norris, between Wal-Mart and The Lake City Mall.
